Non-refundable Deposits: $200 for Half

Estimated hanging weight: 170 lbs for Whole/ 85 lbs for Half

Final Price: $4.00/lb hanging weight - Deposit

Butcher costs: estimate $1/lb. A bit more for curing and sausage.

Note: the weight of the animal changes during processing. The final product you take home will weigh a bit less than the hanging weight.

Purchase Process:

Step 1: Reserve your pork with the corresponding deposit. The deposit can either be paid online or in person. Credit cards, checks or cash are accepted.

Step 2) When the animal is ready it will be delivered to the butcher with your contact information.

Step 3) The butcher will report the hanging weight of the animal and the remaining balance will be calculated and will be due within two weeks unless you set up a payment plan with us.

Step 4) The butcher will contact you and will discuss what cuts you want.

Step 5) The butcher will let you know when meat is ready for pickup, which is about two weeks after delivery. You will pay the butcher his processing fees when you pick up the meat.

Example: To reserve a half pig, you put down a $200/deposit. Once the animal is is ready we bring it to the butcher. The butcher records the hanging weight. If the hanging weight was 85 lbs for the half pig the final cost would be $4 X 85 lbs - $200 deposit = $140 + the butcher processing fees. The processing fees will depend on what options you select but ours averaged around $1/lb. This gives you a total estimated cost of $340 for the half pork plus $85 for the processing = approximately $425/half pig.

Why are deposits non-refundable?

  • Once you place a deposit we consider the item “sold” and therefore deposits are non-refundable – please decide wisely.

  • They are transferable if you find someone else who wants to purchase in your place.

  • We are a family farm producing custom raised, artisan meats.

  • To assure we have your product available for you, once our products has a deposit paid on it we no longer promote it. Therefore, we do not have the ability to re-sell a product you might decide not to pick up.
